Pre-Season Social

Our annual club pre-drinks will be held after our first pre-season friendlies on the 16th April. Drinks will start from 7pm at the Kentish Hare and continue on into Tunbridge Wells later on in the evening. Hope to see everyone there to celebrate the successes of last year and look forward to the new season!

Celebrate our special day at the Arthur Nicholson Memorial Recreation Ground marking the 85th Anniversary of the first game at the ground and the centenary of the death of Major Arthur Nicholson in whose memory the ‘rec’ was given by his father.

 

 

 

Events planned:

  • Colts XI vs Speldhurst
  • Senior XI vs Speldhurst
  • Service conducted by Rev’d Stephen Hills
  • Children entertainment
  • Bar and BBQ

When: Sunday 10th August

Where: Arthur Nicholson Memorial Recreation Ground

Time: 9.30 for the first game (Colts XI vs Speldhurst)

Bidborough CC Golf Day, Friday 27th September at Dale Hill Golf Club

The re-arranged annual Bidborough Cricket Club golf day originally scheduled in June was unfortunately postponed due to lack of numbers. This CAN’T happen again otherwise the club will lose money therefore we need as much support for this day. For those of you who haven’t played Dale Hill its a lovely course (one of the best in the area), and we have got a fantastic deal for just £65 per person which includes Coffee and Bacon roll prior to tee-off. First tee from 9am. 18 holes of golf followed by a single course lunch.

An evening with Henry Olonga

Bidborough Cricket Club Annual Dinner on Friday 19th October with guest speaker Henry Olonga.

Making his international debut in 1995, Henry Olonga was the youngest player and first black cricketer to play for Zimbabwe.
Henry achieved international recognition in 2003 by wearing a black armband in a Cricket World Cup match to protest against the policies of Zimbabwe’s government. (more…)
